The Healer

‘The Healer’ is the working title of a new documentary that’s currently in pre-production, filming is due to begin in the Spring of 2019. The film will be all about alternative healing, the people who practice it, and those who receive it. It will be an exploration into a colourful and mysterious field that few people understand, to see what kind of therapies are out there, who practices them, what ailments they can treat, and how effective they are.

There’s no script or plot, just a film-maker with a boundless curiosity, who is looking forward to meeting people, learning, and seeing where the story leads. It’s expected the project will take between 18 and 24 months to complete, and will be filmed exclusively on the Isle of Wight. The location is limited by the fact that this is a zero budget project, but it seems there’s no shortage of healers on the Island, so it’s not proving to be much of a limitation.

If you’re an alternative, holistic or complimentary practitioner, or if you know of one, or have been treated by one and have a story to tell, then do please get in touch. You can find out more about the film by downloading THIS pdf info sheet. An update on progress will be posted here around April-May of 2019. Until then, thanks for stopping by : )
